Dominique's Birthday!

Last Sunday, Dominique God's godparents took him to a hockey game and then to dinner to celebrate his coming birthday. They had also invited Mason, their soon to be godchild (Mason will be baptize on Easter). Both are ten, and they had a blast!

On his birthday, actually we celebrated the day before since his birthday was on Ash Wednesday, Dominique just had to wear his new Hurricanes shirt. I hope the sight of it will not be too offensive to our Canadian relative. ;o)

It's good to have a big brother to lend you an hand.

By the end of the day he was riding like a pro!

Here he goes on his new Hurricane! Good name Dominique! Again no offence to you Canadian folks!

At Dominique's request, Felix made a cheese cake. Yum!

Dominique realized that he had forgotten to make a wish But that's OK, he said.

When you are so content what else could you wish for!

Happy tenth birthday dearest Dominique! We love you, spunkyness and all!

The Hat!

We are just an instrument in God's hands.

A few weeks ago I knitted a small Sweetheart Hat and matching booties for Elizabeth's baby, Sarah. I wanted to show Elizabeth my gratitude for so generously sharing her talents with us. From her fabulous lesson plans over at Serendipity, to the ponderings of her heart on her blog In The Heart of my Home, she has blessed countless mothers like me.

Transformed by the hands of God, this small gesture, this Hat became a greater gift than I could have envision. This little Hat brought more than warmth to a sweet little baby's head, it brought sunshine into a weary spirit.

Sebastien and Lydia went from Belmont and Raphael from Raleigh. Sebastien and Lydia are back in classes and Raphael is having his wisdom teeth pulled, so I don't have any comments from them, but I found this video on my camera and wanted to share.
