The Tree
Sunday. Oh, What a Busy Day, Part 2
On the way back from the Market we stop at the Cathedral of Tlalnepanta.
After our return we were invited to a Kermes at the Basilica Nuestra Senora de los Remedios. The Basilica we tour on our first day.
We came back mid-afternoon and rested a bit before the usual late dinner.
Another door, hey where is Daddy? Well I am sure he did have a closer look at it.
The famous towers of Naucalpan
St Michael watches over us.
It was a very popular event.
A very big event.
Fun for everyone.
I went inside a small shrine to Our Lady of Remedy.
The ceiling
As you can tell I really liked it.
For Mass the Basilica was too full so we went to an outdoor chapel.
We were astonished and honored to be chosen to bring the gifts to the altar. The lady with the long hair asked us before Mass started. I guess she liked our foreign look.
After Mass we had lunch at this restaurant. Yes, lunch! I told you it was a busy day.
We were well entertained.
Even by the signs. What to do in case of an earthquake!!!
The priest is blessing the bus with holy water, before their trip back. I had never seen that before. He also blessed the people.
Sunday. Oh, Want a Busy Day! Part 1
We were told to be ready by 6:30 am. Yep, that's when they leave for the weekly market day! This was and still is (we had our third trip to the Market today) by far the most impressive experience. So to market, to market to buy.... a whole lot of things, but no fat pigs. However chicken...oh, yes.
But let us get started. Follow me on this wild ride. Indeed, it was a wild ride through this immense metropolitan that seem to never end, but must since we could see the faint shapes of mountains all around.

A nice shrine at the entrance
It's really hard to park.
Matthias watch carefully.
Puss and Boots!
Maybe he was looking for this fish.
My breakfast, a blue corn tortilla with chicken, black cinnamon coffee, very sweetened.
She is making the tortillas. Notice the bucket with the mud on her right...
It's the blue corn dough use for the tortilla!
Behind the peppers are mushrooms.
Quique is holding the week's tomato purchase. Red tomatoes and green tomatoes for salsa.
Guacamole
Limes! They love limes.
